have seen and read all your reviews on the teryx. looks & sounds good,(also want to say that you had a good review) but have you seen the vidieos on you tube. that is the poeple that i would like to here from. we dont ride in that much water and mudddd, so if they arent haveing tooo many problems,, they should be great for our kind of rideing.

Hi pushrod,

Check out http://www.teryxforums.net/

much better site for information on the Teryx.

I'm not trying to knock this site Nathan has got a good site here, it's just a lot more active place for Teryx information.

I am in no way affiliated with Teryx forums, i'm just a member

Also, Nathan, thanks for the Teryx review.

Speaking of mud, I would really like to know how the Teryx compares to the Rhino in mud and water? I use my Rhino for deer and duck hunting, and it regularly sees the sloppy stuff! I like the idea of having a bit more torque to turn bigger tires in mud, and would especially like to know if the Teryx has any limitations in reverse such as the rhino has? I would also be interested in hearing of any problems with axles or cvt as well.

Me too, along with many others I bet. I hate Rhino lack of reverse in the sloopy stuff.

The 08 rhino may have the reverse issue fixed, or it is a lot better. Then again lots of people dont know how to bypass the reverse limiter ,which helps a lot on the 04-07

I have considered getting a hunterworks CDI, which (I am told) will eliminate problems with the reverse limit, but I don't want the headache of breaking axles (especially in the middle of a slough). This is my very greatest concern on my Rhino as it stands.

As a rule, I very rarely drive my Rhino over 25 or 30 MPH. It doesn't really matter to me if the Teryx, Ranger or even a new Rhino is faster. I am all about hauling hunting equipement, firewood, or even a deer or two (on occassion). Getting to where I want to go (through trees, mud or snow) is what I am all about.

With that said, I really like the looks of the Teryx NRA edition. If it's low speed and mud performance is equal or better than the rhino, along with being dependable, I will definately give it a hard look. I wouldn't mind putting a set of 29.5" Outlaws on one (like Joel's)

Nathan, I can hit a nine iron from where I am in the winter in St. George, Ut. to Sand Hollow, Ut. And I am only 100 miles from Billings Montana the rest of the year, so I am near where you are riding. The Avt,.RUV, SUV, that works well in Utah, particularly in Sand Hollow, is far different than what works in northern Wyoming. First I will grant that tires are maybe the most important feature, but also a vehicle for sand ( a sand rail) in Sand Hollow isn't what we need in St. George ( a rock crawler)only 20 miles away or even Moab.
I have read these posting for years and based partially on this site I bought a Rhino to go with a Bomadier Atv. This is a great site visited by real riders: but some tackle sand dunes, others rocks, others mountains, so why don't you (as a welder, mechanic, web provider) help develop a dependable all around machine. I was wishing Kaw would do this but apparently not.

Bone, if your having promblems in reverse with the limiter, you can ground a wire easily and it will go away. The reverse light will flash when in reverse rather than staying on solid.(probably a write up in tech ,Here)Mine has been this way for years.you dont have to have the cdi,Heres afew more things for the 29.5s, beef up the rear differential support and add the support bracket 50 bucks. Plan on gorilla axes on rears 700 bucks and the old washer trick on the primary sleeve.I havent had the cant spin em promblems in a long time.

Nathan, You are much more knowlegeable than I am about RUV's and if you suggest that the Kaw is a better machine than the Yamaha, I may run out and trade. My only observation is that what seems to work well in sand may not be as great in mud, the machine that screams as sea level does not run at all at 10,000 ft ele. Part may be tires, part efi or carboration, part operator error, but most is machine. We always joked that Kawasaki's saying "let the good times roll" was because their ATV's were prone to do just that,(roll). Polaris uses this area as a testing ground and can not seem to solve the problem of keeping a machine (ATv, Ruv, or snowmobile) running when it gets wet. If you think the Tyrex is superior to the Rhino in most environments, mountains, desert, bogs, rocks, farms, etc., then I will go to the dealer tomorrow and test a Tyrex based on what you report as your experience in St. George. Still, a better machine is yet to arrive and none of the manufacturers have given us their most effective and efficient RUV.

I like the teyrx Its suspension looks awesome everything seems to be much stronger looking then any of the poular units out there so far I have not driven one yet but would love the chance to do that. I read the review sxs magazine did and I also talked with the guys from cartwheelin/utv offroad? They all have good things to say about the Teyrx as far as sxs said they couldnt tip it over which is exactly what I thought was the best thing any of them could do was find a way to prevent it from being easy

I believe I can Fly!
