| My hunting buddy has the idea that we need to travel south next winter to hunts hogs with a Bow and Arrow. Anybody live or been hunting in the Texas or Oklahoma area and know of a good reputable place? Neither of us has ever done this, and are just now starting to do some research. All input will be appreciated. We would consider other states as well. |

You can't go wrong with these folks....in Louisiana, where the hogs get REALLY big.

Well, unless you're 'dead set' on get'n a stinky ole hog, if you've got a good place for my wife and I to hunt there in Montana, say a 'guided hunt' on a ranch that has a great percentage of kills for good buck Mule deer and/or Elk, we may be able to make some kind of a trade for you hunting Axis Deer on my little place, just South of Kerrville, Texas. I've got a cabin to stay in, comfortable blinds over feeders, etc. Kerrville is in the Beautiful Texas Hill Country, NW of San Antonio and just off of IH-10. I don't have any bucks (don't want them shot, anyway), but I can guarantee you a shot at doe Axis at 30'+-. I'm sure you know that Axis are a time and a half larger than Texas White-tail and rival Elk as the best eating deer on the planet. Axis have no season so you can hunt them any time of the year. Beautiful, large, great eating animals. Lemme know, Best Regards, McCord mccord11@windstream.net |

I've got to retract my offer of trading hunts. My wife says at our age, we'll never hunt again. Sorry, FlatheadFred (McCord) |

| No Problem. Been out of town a few days so just saw this. We are still in "maybe" stage and have not made any final decisions on what and where. |
