Installation instructions for the Rhino with non- digital guages, (stock dummy lights).
Begin by removing the battery cover. Next remove the CDI unit from the
passenger side of the battery box.
Now locate the blue & yellow wire coming out of the Ignition CDI, it will be in the upper
plug on the CDI.
Now cut that wire Approximately 2 inches from the plug and install a male wire connector on the
wire leading back to the CDI. Next install a female connector on the wire going into the
wiring harness.
Next step is to hook the green wire from the black box to the blue & yellow wire going
into the harness; the other wire leading back to the CDI is left alone and can be used if
original Rhino CDI is installed back into your Rhino.
We have two more wires to hook up. Lets use the auxiliary plug wiring for our power &
ground source. I solder my connections, but you can use the extra connectors I’ve
included in the kit. Very simple, black to black and white to red.
Now all you need to do is tuck the box somewhere inside the battery box area, install
battery cover, you’re done!
Caution install wiring as described, be extra careful not to ground the green
wire coming out of the box, when power is applied to the box. Please also
note the red wire is powered with the key on only.
Thank you, and have fun! Most important ride carefully.
